On September 18, 2023, the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) approved the maintenance contract for the natural gas transmission networks concluded between "Moldovatransgaz" LLC and "Vestmoldtransgaz" LLC.
At the same time, the Technical Operation Contract was approved regarding the technical operation of the natural gas transmission network managed by "Vestmoldtransgaz" SRL and the natural gas transmission network managed by "Moldovatransgaz" LLC.
During the same meeting, the Board of Directors of ANRE withdrew the license of "Moldovatransgaz" LLC for the natural gas transport activity.
Thus, ANRE completed the legal process of provisional designation of "Vestmoldtransgaz" LLC as the TSO throughout the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
Therefore, starting today, September 19, 2023, "Vestmoldtransgaz" LLC is responsible for the management and proper operation of the natural gas transport infrastructure, and "Moldovatransgaz" LLC through the signed contracts will grant/provide the maintenance services necessary for the maintenance of the gas transport system natural.
Further, "Vestmoldtransgaz" LLC is the successor in rights and obligations of "Moldovatransgaz" LLC in the part related to contracts with network users, delivery receipt contracts for the technical support of gas networks and interoperability agreements".
